From a young age, entrepreneurship ran through my veins. Picture this: two siblings armed with nothing more than a folding table, a pitcher of lemonade, and boxes of Spice Girls candy, setting up shop on the corner. Fueled by creativity and the pure joy of bringing smiles to passersby, we were determined to make our mark as mini business moguls. Those childhood ventures weren’t just about selling treats—they were lessons in creativity, teamwork, and the thrill of chasing bold ideas. They taught me the value of connecting with others and the impact of turning simple ideas into something greater. Looking back, I believe those formative moments laid the foundation for my love of business and the drive to build meaningful relationships that inspire growth.
After college, I entered the event industry, believing it to be my true calling. Working as an office manager for a catering company, I gained invaluable skills in planning and coordination while also exploring the digital side of the business by managing their social media. Fueled by a desire to create memorable experiences, I launched an event planning business. It was during this period that I realized my deeper passion for the behind-the-scenes aspects of a business—developing strategies, crafting marketing campaigns, and driving growth. It was in these moments I realized my true passion: empowering businesses through storytelling, strategy, and authentic connections. This realization has guided me ever since, shaping me into the marketer I am today.

How I did it
I started as an office manager for a catering company, where I managed their social media and discovered the power of digital storytelling. My passion for the event industry led me to launch my own event planning business, driven by the joy of creating meaningful experiences for others. These roles showed me how building connections with authenticity can help brands grow and thrive in a dynamic digital world.
Over time, I discovered my true passion was in understanding the inner workings of businesses and uncovering what drives their growth. This led me to freelance as a social media manager, where I honed my skills and developed creative, impactful strategies to help businesses thrive and reach their full potential.
Virtual Spirit Strategy emerged from my lived experiences and personal journey. It is more than a business—it’s a creative embodiment of my Indigenous heritage and the values that shape my identity. Rooted in the principles of community, connection, creativity, and empowerment, every project I take on is designed to honour these guiding values. They shape the way I approach my work and build relationships, creating impactful experiences for both my clients and their communities.
